About Us - The Weaver family has been in home grown, family agriculture for over 200 years. In 1835 Grandpa and Grandma built the barn as the first building on our
farm. The Weaver family lived in the barn for one year before building their original and current farm house. Dairy farming became their mainstay with naturally grown freezer beef and sweet corn as a quality product on the side. We have had a sweet corn stand at the farm since the early 1960's.In the fall of 2004 we retired the dairy cows and expanded the farm stand with some vegetables. In 2006 we added raspberries and a high tunnel to lengthen our marketing season, and joined the Somerset County Farmers Market for our first time off the farm marketing experience. In the year of 2007 we added strawberries and a small amount of watermelon. We planted blueberries in the spring of 2008 and have hopes of expanding our watermelon production. We have markets in Windber on Tuesday, Somerset on Wednesday and Saturday, and Westmont on Saturday. Our home market in Windber on Horn Road is open Monday thru Saturday.
